Mouse in Iris

This is not my own photograph. It was borrowed from Facebook.

Dreary Days

Siberian irisRain, clouds, cold wind. What am I to do with a day like this?

Possibly, think about Jeremiah who was beaten and put in the stocks without a trial. Maybe, consider Macaiah who was brought in front of Kings Jehoshaphat and Ahab to prophecy the truth, but was slapped on the face when he did so. Or,  reflect that Peter asked to be crucified upside down because he was not worthy to die like Christ died.

Rain and clouds and even cold winds are minor in the fabric of society and mankind.

Enjoy this Siberian iris from my front yard.

Overwhelming Love

Probably yellow is my favorite flower color, it seems so bright and cheerful. God may have a favorite flower color, e.g., red, purple, orange; but He does not have a favorite people color.  Individuals of all colors, nationalities, gender, age, etc. are equal in God’s sight. God loves each of us more than anyone else in the world loves us. Constantly, I think about the magnitude of my husband’s love for me and am overwhelmed to ponder that Bruce’s love is only a fraction of how much God loves me.

Christ said, “a new commandment I give to you; love one another as I have loved you.” That love has nothing to do with our worth, beauty, color, position, etc. etc.

Spend some time thinking about just how much Christ must love you.

The picture is of an Iris.
