Taliban-linked suicide bombers blew up a 130-year-old church in Pakistan after Sunday Mass; 56 people were killed and 100 wounded. Oh, how it hurts to hear about such events and even more to hear the silence of those who should speak out. This morning the Tailflower (Anthurium hookeri) reminded me that the blood (red flower) of martyrs has fertilized the church (green leaves). Notice the yellow stamen and pistil grow above the red flower petal in a celebration of life.
